Elite Equitation Team is for riders who have attended at our stables and would like to excel farther into the world of HORSES. Responsibility of helping, caring and being a leader at our stables. Will bring knowledge into your future for your everyday routine of life. Riders MUST be able to bridle and saddle their own horses.
Ages: 12- ADULTS
Program Hours: 9am - 3pm
Extended Hours: Riders may arrive has early has 8 a.m. and pick up must be by 4 p.m.
Enrollment & Fees: Registration is on a first-come, first served basis.
A $350 nonrefundable deposit per week must accompany this form to insure your child a place in the session you have indicated. The final payment is due the first day of the session. If final payment is not made, you will lose your deposit, and Madison Riding Academy may accept a child from a waiting list. All fees must be paid in advance and are not refundable for missed days or sessions.

Focus of the Elite Equitation:
If evaluations consistently indicate that a rider is meeting or exceeding the goals and expectations of the program, she may be invited to be hired as staff or can use us for reference. Benefits of the Elite Equitation team include establish self worth and character references, develop leadership skills builds confidence and allows for personal growth.
Elite Equitation Team is perfect for riders who want to increase their skill and have a blast learning more about horse care. Intensive daily lessons with instructor. All aspects of Show horse care and management— Mental preparedness—Physical preparedness — Sportsmanship—Goal setting. Teaching at their own speed.
Team is designed so that each participant progresses at their own speed. However everyone must start with groundwork in the round pen. No one will progress into riding work until they have complete around pen work. It's will give you the best possibility foundation for training and relationship with your horse. Although the program is progressive there will be problem-solving done throughout.
Remember inside of every horse is “perfect horse” it is responsibility of the trainer/rider to find a way of communicating with a horse of the perfection shows.
Not only will participants progress at different speeds, so whether horses. Different horses will respond to training in different ways and present different challenges. Keep this in mine, will be given the opportunity to work not only with your own horse but also with a variety of other horses as you progress through the program this will include both broke and Un- broke horses.
Snacks and Lunches: Riders who stay for the full day need to bring their own lunch. Thursday we order pizza for the everyone. There is a refrigerator available if needed.
Lost, Stolen or Damaged Personal Property: La Fleur Stables/Madison Riding Academy is not responsible for lost, stolen or damaged personal property, including clothing. Campers are discouraged from bringing personal items beyond what is needed for the day. Please DO NOT bring Cell/Mobil devices or keep in a safe place. During camp time there will be know time for devices to be used unless at breaks.
Proper Attire: Riding helmets are available. Riders should wear riding clothes (i.e. Kentucky Jodhpur pants, Jodhpur boots)
Keeping Parents Informed: Once registered for camp Madison Riding Academy, parents will receive a confirmation letter with important information about Madison Riding Academy, including program policies. Parents feel free to contact our office or any of the onsite instructors with questions or concerns.
Cancellation / Policy: A written two-week advance notice must be received by the stables to cancel any course (fax, email, and hand-written notices are all acceptable). Failure to submit written cancellation two weeks in advance will result in the liability of all fees paid and owed for that course.
Families may add sessions or change their choice of week of sessions at any time up to the end of the business day Wednesday the week prior to which it will take effect. Requests to add or change a course must also be received in writing. (fax, email, and hand-written notices are all acceptable)
Types of Horses used at Camp: Saddlebreds are the most desired and most commonly used horses in the world for English "Saddle Seat" equitation.
Can we tour the stables before we come: Yes our stables is open 6 days a week.Yes, Call for an appointment 608-833-3635. Yes, we have riding Demonstrations through out the year Thursday, Friday & Saturday mornings between 9 a.m. -- Noon. Parents are welcome to come and check the Stables before camp: Either signing up for a lesson or visiting.
